what recipes we do at absolute foodie

Absolute Foodie was born from a simple idea: food is more than just sustenance—it’s a way to connect, create, and celebrate life.

Founded by two food enthusiasts from Australia—my husband David, and me—we love experimenting with new dishes in our home kitchen. Our goal was to create a space where flavor reigns supreme, experimentation is celebrated, and every meal feels like an adventure. And so, this website came to life.

From humble beginnings as a passion project, we aim to grow Absolute Foodie into a thriving community of food lovers all over the world united by curiosity, creativity, and an undying love for butter (no shame here 😆).

We’re obsessed with crafting recipes that work for real life. Our dishes range from quick weeknight dinners to show-stopping weekend feasts, with plenty of plant-based, gluten-free, sugar-free, and globally inspired dishes in between.

Every recipe is tested rigorously, photographed beautifully in my tiny studio, and written with clear, step-by-step instructions to ensure your success—even if you’ve never picked up a whisk.

But we’re not just about recipes. We’re here to:
Celebrate global flavors: From Italian pastas to Thai curries, Mexican street food to Middle Eastern mezze.
Embrace seasonality: Highlighting fresh, local ingredients that make every bite sing.
Make cooking accessible: No fancy equipment? No problem. We keep it simple, fun, and fuss-free.
Build a community: Food tastes better when shared, and we love seeing your creations! You can upload photos of your creations to our comment section to share with our readers.
